Hello from Texas!
My name is William Andrew Blount and all my friends call me Andy. I am in my 13th year of teaching and this is my 12th year at my current school, Good Shepherd Episcopal School (GSES). GSES is a PreK-8 private school located in the center of Dallas, Texas. Prior to GSES I taught Algebra I and Geometry at Ranger High School in Ranger, Texas.
As the Assistant Athletic Director and Head Football coach at GSES, I have had the opportunity to implement the first football program in school history and add a boys soccer team and a second baseball team to my school's athletic program. I teach Kinder -6th grade Physical Education classes during the day and coach 7th and 8th grade athletics in the afternoon. Along with my teaching duties, I teach outdoor education here at GSES which gives me the opportunity to travel to the Rocky Mountains, Lake Powell, Big Bend National Park, The Wichita Mountain Refuge and the Guadalupe River yearly with our students.
I graduated with my bachelors from The University of North Texas where I played four years of Division I football and one year of basketball for the Mean Green. I graduated with my MSED from the University of New England in 2015!
My wife, Krystin, and I live in Dallas, Texas with our two beautiful twin daughters, Hardyn and Hadley. We enjoy the outdoors, reading, sporting events and spending time as a family.
